More about the contest
As part of our evaluation process we are running a Web Application Development Contest. We want to establish an open dialogue with you. So please test our platform, develop your application and send us your valuable feedback.
How do I participate?
Eligible applications are considered the ones that follow the steps below:
- Login to WABLI with your Github account.
- Design and develop your application. You may watch our training materials for tips and tricks or send an email to contest@wabli.eu for further support.
- Invite us to your application (you need to invite “wabliplatform” user to your application).
- Download the source code of your application and deploy it in the cloud or send us an email to contest@wabli.eu and we will deploy it for you.
- Fill in the WABLI questionnaire by the 20th of June 2022.
In the WABLI Web Application Development Contest 2022 everybody wins! With your participation you also get extra benefits, such as:
- Downloading the source code of your application and keeping it for your own use forever!
- Featuring and visibility on all our channels (website, social media and external media).
- Access to a big network of IT experts with the potential to establish future collaborations.
- Free access to WABLI platform for a certain period of time.
Evaluation criteria
All submitted applications will be evaluated by the experts' committee assigned by the WABLI management team. The applications will be evaluated towards the following criteria:
- Completeness - How complete is your application? (weight 30%)
- WABLI features used - Have you used enough WABLI features? (weight 30%)
- Value added - Is the concept of your application innovative? (weight 30%)
- User experience - How good is the look and feel of your application? (weight 10%)
The evaluation results will be published on our website by the 30th of June 2022.

- Apostolos Vontas (Business Advisor and Director of ViLabs).

- Sotiris Siagas, CEO at Venture Stories Partners
- Kostis Kaggelidis, CEO at Gnomon Informatics SA
- Vlassis Vlassiou, CFO at APIFON SA
How can I learn more about the WABLI Application Development Contest?
We are having a bootstrap workshop to explain how WABLI works and how can you develop an application step by step. Send us an email to contest@wabli.eu and you will receive a Zoom invitation. You can always read our step by step guide on how to develop an application and you are welcome to send us your questions on our Discord channel.
- Save the Date: Saturday 21 May 2022 at 10.00 Greek time
Timeplan:
- Saturday, 21 May 2022: Join our workshop where we will explain step by step how you can create your own application with WABLI. A Q&A session will also be hosted, so make sure you write down all of your questions.
- Monday, 20 June 2022: You just reached the deadline! By now your application is ready and you should send us your feedback by answering our questionnaire.
- Monday, 27 June 2022: Let's show your application to the world! Your applications will now be online. We will deploy it for you.
- Thursday, 30 June 2022: The WABLI contest committee will evaluate all applications based on the predefined criteria and publish the results on https://wabli.eu. Are you one of the winners? An email will follow shortly where you will get to know how you will receive your prize.
